Julia's Exhibition Challenge  2014

"STRIPES"   - For this challenge you need to find your own source of inspiration to make a small quilt measuring 8" x 18" portrait.

To add an extra challenge you can only use one colour-way in your quilt, but you can vary the shades and tones of your chosen colour. This can include plain, patterned and dyed fabrics. For example if you decide to select blue as your colour this can include a variety of blues from light blue to dark blue

Summer Challenge 2013

You MUST follow the design layout sheet exactly.
Stitch together 3 x 11" strips of fabric measuring 3 3/4", 2 1/2" and 2 1/2" wide
The strips can be any colour, any fabric.
The rectangles are to be attached to the background using your preferred method, but must be as the design sheet.
What goes into the rectangles is up to you - let your imagination go free! Use any technique, maybe try something new... GO ON LEAP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
Your finished piece should be layered, quilted, bound or turned, whichever is your preference.
