September 2023 Meeting
The first meeting of the year was a very colourful one. Over the summer some of our members got very busy making love hearts which will be put together to make quilts for children. Some members were busier than others!
Carol, Wendy and the fabulous members of our committee put together some kits with different themes to make a small project that evening. These proved very popular and everyone had a lovely evening sewing and chatting over a hot drink and piece of cake, did I forget to mention that earlier! Yes there was cake, such a lovely treat and a huge thank you to those that made and brought cake for everyone to share.
The three photos of the baby quilts were done by a lovely member called Pat and were happily passed on to our co-ordinator of the Premature Baby Quilts for Frimley Park Hospital. They were very well received and if you would like to make some yourself please visit our charity page for information about quilt sizes.
The Beads of Courage Bags were made by another lovely member, Rosemary, and were gratefully received by Sandy our Beads of Courage co-ordinator and I believe she has to date 200 hundred bags ready to go.
Thank you to everyone who made it such a lovely evening.
Here are a few photos from our evening.
